We are doing this study to learn more about how repeated head impacts and concussions from playing sports can impact the health of Black men after middle age (age 50 and above). We want to find out how these injuries might affect things like lifestyle, mood, brain structure, socioeconomic status, and blood markers of brain disease. We hope this study can help reduce disparities in outcomes and improve the detection and diagnosis of brain health.
The study begins with a screening period that lasts about four weeks. During this time, doctors check your health with a medical history, an exam, blood and urine tests, heart tests, and imaging scans. If you qualify, you will start the treatment part of the study to see how well the chosen dose works. The study drug is called BH 30643. It is a pill taken by mouth on an empty stomach, usually once or twice a day. During the first three weeks, there are several clinic visits. After that, visits happen about every three weeks until Cycle 9, and then about every six weeks. You will also have regular blood tests, heart tests, and scans every six weeks, then every twelve weeks after thirty six weeks.
The study starts with a screening period that lasts about 4 weeks and includes 1 or 2 visits. Treatment can last up to about 2 years with up to 43 visits. After treatment ends, follow-up continues for about 1 year with up to 6 visits. The study medicine is given through an IV every 3 weeks, and each visit lasts about 60 minutes. In Part 1 of the study, researchers test the medicine BMS 986525 by itself or with another medicine called nivolumab to find a safe dose. In Part 2, the chosen dose or doses are tested in larger groups. If more than one dose is available, a computer may randomly choose which dose a person receives.
We are doing this study to find out if patients with SAA who have not received previous treatment for this diagnosis can be treated safely and effectively with transplant as their first therapy.
This study is not testing a new treatment. People will continue to receive their usual medical care, such as a stem cell transplant or gene therapy. If they join the study, they will give blood samples during their regular visits over about five years. They may also choose to give other samples, such as stool, skin, hair, nails, or bone marrow. These samples will help researchers learn more about how the body responds to these treatments over time.
We created this healthy volunteer registry for people who would like to participate in brain imaging research studies. These studies use structural and functional MRI data to study areas of the brain associated with movement, memory, attention, and perception.
We are doing this study to better understand women's preferences for and concerns about hormone replacement. We want to learn from women who have had their fallopian tubes and ovaries removed due to BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.
We are doing this study to try and find a way to detect breast cancer earlier or before it recurs.
