Adults scheduled for:
- Heart transplantation
- Ventricular assist device (VAD) implantation
- Other cardiac procedures
What is Involved?
Description
If you choose to join this study, you will:
- Have heart tissue that is normally thrown away during your heart surgery collected
- Have blood samples collected before and after surgery
- Have a urine sample collected before and after surgery
- Have your medical information collected
