Purpose of this Study

We are doing this study to learn more about how right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) from a stroke can affect people's ability to communicate. We want to improve treatments to help stroke survivors regain their ability to communicate.

Who Can Participate?

Eligibility

Adults ages 18+ who:
  • Have had a right brain stroke
  • Are fluent in English
  • Are able to see and hear
  • Are right handed
  • Have a high school diploma or higher
  • Have a documented brain MRI or CT scan in their medical record

What is Involved?

Description

If you choose to join this study, you will:
  • Have a hearing test
  • Have a vision exam
  • Do several language and communication tests
This study has one visit that will take about an hour and a half, but no more than two hours. You will be paid for your time.
