Communication After Right Brain Stroke

Purpose of this Study

We are doing this study to learn more about how right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) from a stroke can affect people's ability to communicate. We want to improve treatments to help stroke survivors regain their ability to communicate.

Who Can Participate?

Eligibility

Adults ages 18+ who:<ul>
<li>Have had a right brain stroke</li>
<li>Are fluent in English</li>
<li>Are able to see and hear</li>
<li>Are right handed</li>
<li>Have a high school diploma or higher</li>
<li>Have a documented brain MRI or CT scan in their medical record</li></ul>

What is Involved?

If you choose to join this study, you will:<ul>
<li>Have a hearing test</li>
<li>Have a vision exam</li>
<li>Do several language and communication tests</li></ul>
This study has one visit that will take about an hour and a half, but no more than two hours. You will be paid for your time.
