This study lasts about three months. People will first have two screening visits to see if they can join. They will then receive five days of treatment in a row. After treatment, they will return for follow up visits about one week, one month, and three months later. Participants will be placed into one of two groups by chance and will receive different doses of a treatment called transcranial magnetic stimulation. This treatment uses magnets placed outside the head and does not require surgery. During the study, participants will answer questions about their pain and daily life, have a brain MRI scan, and complete tests that measure sensation and brain function. The goal is to learn if this treatment can help reduce long lasting pain after a stroke.
