Purpose of this Study
The study team will use brain scans and simple tests to understand who is more likely to regain vision. Participation in the study will last about 9 months and will include 4 in‑person visits to the Duke University Neuromodulation and Stroke Recovery Lab.
Who Can Participate?
Eligibility
People may be able to join this study if they are 21 years old or older and have had a stroke that affected the parts of the brain involved in vision. The stroke may have been caused by a blocked blood vessel or bleeding in the brain. Participants must have vision problems caused by the stroke, such as missing areas in their field of vision. The stroke must have happened within the past 2 to 10 days. Participants must also be able to understand the study and give permission to take part.

What is Involved?
Description
The purpose of the study is to learn how vision recovers after a stroke in people who have lost part of their eyesight. We will use brain scans and simple tests to understand who is more likely to regain vision. This information may help improve future care and treatments for people with vision loss after stroke.
