Purpose of this Study

We are testing a new type of electrode and a special computer system that can read signals from the skin. The person in the study will wear these new electrodes on their feet.

Who Can Participate?

Eligibility

People can join the study if they meet these rules. They must be men or women between 18 and 39 years old. They need to have strong lungs that can take in enough oxygen. Their body weight should not be too high unless the study leader says it is okay. They must be able to ride a bike machine for two hours without stopping. They also need to be able to make their ears feel normal when the air pressure changes and handle being in a special pressure chamber.

What is Involved?

Description

The study wants to test a new carbon electrode that was made at the University of Connecticut. It will also use a new data system created by Triton Systems. The test will happen underwater in a special chamber that has very high pressure.
