What is Involved?

Description

If you choose to join the study, you will have a one-time research biopsy and a nasal swab at the time of your standard of care colonoscopy procedure.
  • Biopsies: we will collect up to 12 samples from your colonoscopy to use for research purposes. We may collect an additional 4 samples from any identified polyps or cancers that might be identified during the procedure. Each biopsy sample will be roughly 4-9 mm in size (smaller than a pea).
  • Nasal swab: we will administer a nasal swab before your colonoscopy.
In addition to the samples collected above, we will obtain blood samples that will be collected by the OneDukeGen study team.
