Purpose of this Study
We are doing this study to find better methods to help cancer patients and cancer survivors stop smoking. In addition to improving overall health, we also want to see if quitting smoking can reduce pain.
Who Can Participate?
Eligibility
Adults ages 18+ who:<ul>
<li>Are diagnosed with cancer or have completed cancer treatment</li>
<li>Are Duke patients</li>
<li>Currently have pain</li>
<li>Currently smoke cigarettes</li>
<li>Are willing to quit smoking</li></ul>

What is Involved?
If you choose to join this study, you will:<ul>
<li>Fill out surveys</li>
<li>Meet with counselors for behavioral health sessions to help you manage smoking cessation</li>
<li>Get a supply of Chantix (varenicline) to take if you want it</li></ul>
This study will last for about 4 months. We will pay you for your time on the study.
