Purpose of this Study
We want to learn more about people with spina bifida and their risk of developing dementia if they have the APOE e4 gene.
Who Can Participate?
Eligibility
Children and adults of any age who have spina bifida and are willing to provide a cheek swab for genetic testing.
Adults ages 18+ who currently have a right-sided shunt may be eligible to participate in a sub-study that involves imaging, a blood draw, and cognitive testing.
