ADRC Clinical Cohort (Alzheimer's Disease)

Purpose of this Study

We are doing this study to learn more about Alzheimer's disease and other illnesses of aging (e.g., dementia, mild cognitive impairment [MCI], or other cognition disorders).

Who Can Participate?

Eligibility

Adults, 45-80 who:
-Are be able to read at a 6th grade level
-Are willing to have an MRI scan and a lumbar puncture or PET scan
-Have a study partner
-Those that have a memory problem, or a family history of them, and those who do not

What is Involved?

This study will ask that you have a study partner. This is usually a family member that can answer questions about your day-to-day activities.

If you choose to join this study, you will:
-Complete 3 study visits in 60 days and then yearly visits after that
-Do brain and thinking tests
-Have physical exams
-Do memory tests
-Complete medical and family history surveys
-Get a brain MRI (image)
-Have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) or PET Scan

At your yearly follow-up visit, you will:
-Do memory testing
-Have a blood test
