We are doing this study to find out if images taken of the eye using a special type of camera placed inside a surgical microscope, called Microscope Integrated Optical Coherence Tomography (MIOCT), will give us new information during surgery that will improve both how we perform eye surgery and the results of surgery.
We are doing this study to compare 2 different surgeries for epithelial ovarian cancer. We want to know if an investigational surgical procedure called minimally invasive surgery can offer better results than the standard surgery, which is called laparotomy. We hope to find out if one procedure or the other is preferable when it comes to preventing cancer from returning and giving patients a better quality of life after their surgery.
We are doing this study to find out how changes in air pressure can affect people's exercise capacity. We want to compare how these pressure changes affect the abilities of healthy volunteers and compare their changes to those of people who are diagnosed with HFpEF (heart failure with a preserved ejection fraction, a congestive heart disease).
We are doing this study to find out if an investigational vaccine (HydroVax-005 CHIKV - the study vaccine) is a safe and effective option to protect against chikungunya virus. Chikungunya virus is spread by mosquitos that are most common in Africa, Asia, and India. Infection with the virus can cause serious disease in older adults, children, and people with weaker immune systems.
We are doing this study to test an experimental simulation of "extravehicular activities" (EVAs), which are more commonly known as spacewalks. We want to know if this simulation will provide good training for astronauts who will have to perform EVAs during their space missions.
We are using you or your child's medical information in this study to better understand the diagnosis, treatment, and complications of Spina Bifida.
We created the Registry for Brain Health to help you improve your brain health and get involved in research studies. The number of people in North Carolina affected by memory disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, is going up. To change that, we must work together, stay informed, and get involved. We are enrolling both people who have memory problems and people who are healthy and do not have memory problems.
We are doing this study to collect information about the speeds of eye and head movements in healthy children and young adults. This information will help us establish normal values related to these movement speeds and patterns. If we have a measure of what is normal, this will help us determine the severity of symptoms or injury for people who are treated for concussions.
