Purpose of this Study
We are doing this study to compare activity in the brains of female adults who have chronic pain and/or use opioids to the brain activity of healthy female adults who are pain-free. We hope this study can help us develop new and targeted treatments for adults with chronic pain and alternatives to opioid therapy.
Who Can Participate?
Eligibility
Women ages 18+ who:
- Have widespread pain that is medically documented (can be currently using opioids or not currently using opioids); OR
- Are generally healthy and do not have any chronic pain conditions

What is Involved?
Description
If you choose to join this study, you will:
- Come in for 1 or 2 study visits to our clinic that last up to 4.5 hours
- Have MRI scans
- Play cognitive games during your study appointment
- Have sensory testing
- Have blood draws
