Key LARGO (Glioblastoma Multiforme and Grade 4 Astrocytoma)

Purpose of this Study

We are doing this study to learn more about what causes glioblastoma (GBM), a type of brain cancer, and the factors that affect GBM patients' quality of life. This research will help us to understand why some people get GBM, including how their genes and health history may contribute to tumor development and progression.

Who Can Participate?

Eligibility

Adults ages 18+ who:
  • Have a pathologically confirmed diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) or grade 4 astrocytoma
  • Have a working email address
  • Can access and complete an online survey about medical and exposure history

What is Involved?

Description

If you choose to join this study, you will:
  • Sign and date a consent form
  • Fill out an online survey
  • Give a small blood sample (from the outer arm) two times - you can do this yourself at home using a kit that we will give you
We will run tests on the blood to look for changes in DNA and white blood cells. The tests are for research only. You can complete the survey even if you choose not to give a blood sample. You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://Duke.is/KeyLARGO
